Traditional building materials are heavy, expensive, and require natural resources to produce. But what if we could replace the components of basic concrete with recycled plastic, all while keeping comparable strength and structural integrity? We call this Plasticrete, and it’s one of the foundations of the Eco Plastics vision.

Plasticrete is created by mixing recycled plastic fibres with aerated concrete. The plastic adds tensile strength, while the air within the concrete is excellent for insulation, makes the product much lighter, and reduces costs by cutting down on cement. Plasticrete can be moulded into building blocks or poured as a slab.
